Dry Needling

Our office is now offering Dry Needling as a service. Dry needling involves inserting a tiny monofilament acupuncture needle in a muscle or muscles in order to release shortened bands of muscles and decrease trigger point activity. This can help resolve pain and muscle tension, and will promote healing. This is not traditional Chinese Acupuncture, but is instead a medical treatment that relies on a medical diagnosis to be effective.   

Neuromechanical Impulse Treatment

Neuromechanical Impulse Treatment care is a new and innovative approach to chronic musculoskeletal pain and inflammation relief. It works by employing a root-cause approach to reversing acute and chronic pain in soft tissue, ligaments, joints and throughout the spine. 

This method involves the use of mechanical impulses or adjustments to affect the nervous system and promote proper joint and spinal function. Rather than blocking or dulling nerve response, Neuromechanical Impulse treatment restores systemic mechanical motion to optimize neurological response within the nervous system. 

Lymphatic Enhancement Therapy

Lymphatic Enhancement Therapy (also known as lymphatic drainage) is used to enhance the detoxification of the body by improving lymphatic circulation. It detoxes the soft tissue and accelerates lymphatic flow boosting immune system function. It helps reduce swelling and congestion in the tissues, which is often a contributing factor to long term discomfort. 

This therapy is performed using the Lymphstar Pro Fusion device manufactured by Arcturus Star Products LLP. This device uses several different types of vibrational energy that the body recognizes to encourage healing. It uses a current that puts the body into a deeply relaxed state, allowing lymph vessels to relax and dilate, along with; sound waves that break up waste in the tissue, and light therapy that reduces inflammation and swelling. The results are cumulative, and a series of sessions is the most effective way to achieve the best results (recommended 4-6 sessions).

Thermography

Thermography (also known as infrared thermography or digital infrared thermal imaging (DITI), is a screening method that uses camera images to measure your body temperature and blood flow. The thermography scan looks for dysfunction and other precursors to disease by screening for patterns and variations in your body temperature and blood flow. It’s radiation-free, the screenings are noninvasive, and are FDA registered and approved.

A thermography scan looks at all sorts of different parts of the body, as well as our different “flow systems” - lymphatic, digestive, hormonal, nervous, energy - looking for blockages, stagnation, and imbalances. The basis for the screening is tracking inflammation, which is the origin point for many disease processes. 

Thermography can be used to detect a wide range of issues, from TMJ to gum and sinus infections to liver distress to cancer and beyond. Thermography often detects them, before they turn into diseases.
